Cisco Phone Cheat Sheet

1. Setup Voicemail
• Hit Voicemail button on Phone
• Type in Password (default is 1234)
• Hit 0 and follow directions to record your unavailable message.
2. Blind Transfer
• Hit Xfer button on phone
• Type in extension to transfer to then hit the Dial button
• Hit Xfer button again
3. Soft Transfer
• Hit Xfer button on phone
• Type in extension to transfer to hit the Dial button
• Wait until the recipient of that extension answers
• Tell them they have a phone call
• Hit Xfer button again
4. Park a Call
• Hit Xfer button on phone
• Type 20 then hit Dial button
• Listen for line in parking lot call is parked on Then hit Xfer again to transfer the call to the parking lot.
• Hang up and tell person they have a parked call
5. Pickup a Parked call
• If call is parked on 21
• Type 21 on phone hit Dial
• It will then connect to the party on parking lot number 21
6. Getting to your voicemail from another internal phone
• Hit *98 on phone
• Hit dial
• Type in your extension after asked to input mailbox
• Type in your voice mail password after asked for mailbox password
7. Getting to your voicemail from the outside.
• receptionist answers have her transfer you to *98 and follow instructions on #6
• If the Auto Attendant answers dial 9 and follow instructions on #6
